Made by breaking the beans of Peruvian Criollo Cacao Beans into pieces known as "nibs," then coating with coconut nectar and air drying. Great used as a replacement for chocolate chips in deserts and baking. Excellent as a travel food due to resistance to melting vs chips or a chocolate bar. Cacao is the highest food source of magnesium, antioxidants, and mood enhancing neurotransmitters. Keep in mind that cacao is a stimulating food and is best used during times when energy or a mood boost is desired.
