What is GI Rescue?

It is estimated that 80% of the immune system is located in the gut. If the gut is “leaky” or compromised in any way, every other body system is affected. While fermented foods and probiotics can offer some help and can be taken alongside GI Rescue, the gut is already home to thousands of various species of microflora. While their numbers can be greatly reduced by a dose of antibiotics or dietary choices, there are always some survivors. These robust survivors are hard to replicate in a probiotic supplement, and are the ones that need our attention. They flourish on various unique fibers known as “prebiotics.“ GI Rescue is packed with these prebiotics from nutrient-dense whole foods which may support a healthy intestinal lining and probiotic ecosystem.
GI Rescue is formulated to be therapeutic enough to help assist in the healing of all types of digestive issues. At the same time, taking some every day is the best way to ensure your digestive system will stay in optimal health. When working on a particular issue, use a larger dose twice a day. A smaller dose once daily will work very well for people who don't have any known issues. GI Rescue is formulated for daily tonic use.
This formula offers a diversity of possible health benefits. The L-glutamine in the formula is an amino acid which makes up the majority of our muscular system. Since our gut is actually one big muscle, L-glutamine is an essential component of our intestinal health but also great before or after a workout to support energy and muscle recovery. The addition of Lion's Mane Mushroom supports nerve growth and supplies polysaccharides to fuel our immune system. We have created this formula as a great all-around support system and essential functional food.
HCL(stomach acid) is the first line of defense against bacteria entering our digestive system and is essential for the proper breakdown of our food. When food is not properly digested in the stomach, it can introduce undigested food which can feed pathogenic bacteria. Ensuring proper acidity in the stomach is very important with SIBO. Excessive bloating can be a sign of bad bacteria overgrowth and prebiotics (or certain foods containing them) are often blamed and advised to be avoided. However, HCL deficiency can also cause bloating and is a significant risk factor in developing SIBO. Each individual is different, and our recommendation is to think of the entire digestive system function as a whole, instead of just focus on the area of the problem. GI Rescue contains the powerful spore-based probiotic, B. Coagulans, which in addition to the other ingredients, helps to reduce any bloating from its prebiotic content. The best way to know if GI Rescue is right for your SIBO is by trying some out after you have addressed possible HCL deficiency. 1 tsp is a good starting dosage, If no bloating or discomfort occurs, keep increasing by 1 tsp every few days until you reach the recommended dosage. Consider adding the GI Rescue to Pau D’Arco Tea which may help reduce the possibility of pathogenic bacteria feeding on the prebiotic fiber.
