How to Use Spray Magnesium

Magnesium is an element and essential mineral that is implicated in a wide variety of body functions and systems. It is a cofactor of more than 300 enzymes that regulate various biochemical reactions, including but not limited to protein synthesis, blood pressure and sugar regulation, nerve function, energy production, and much more.

While healthy magnesium levels can be achieved with a balanced diet and magnesium is found in many foods, it is also the case that as many as 50% of Americans are magnesium deficient.

Consequently, many Americans have taken to adopting magnesium supplements into their health and wellness regimens. Many of these are dietary, but since some magnesium supplements can be easily absorbed in other ways, magnesium sprays and magnesium gels are also increasingly popular.

On the former note, if you’re here to learn how to use a spray magnesium supplement, here’s some insight for you.

How to Use Magnesium Spray

One of the reasons for the popularity of a magnesium spray like ours is that it is so easy to use. Our magnesium spray is readily absorbed by the skin and it takes less than a half hour to be well-absorbed after application.

In accordance with its ease of use, one of the best ways to use spray magnesium is simply to apply it anywhere to your body where you are experiencing discomfort (magnesium supplements are often taken for their potential to alleviate muscle cramps and joint pain as well as other types of neuropathic pain).

Studies have shown that magnesium plays an evolving role in pain management, and in addition to potentially reducing perceiving muscle and neuropathic pain, may even be effective at mitigating the effects of headaches

Common areas to apply magnesium spray include the knees and hips, as well as the inside of the arms. Some also apply it to the tops of their feet, as well as to their armpits (another note on this below).

For those using the spray magnesium for sleep, two of the best places to apply it are to the legs and to the neck. Once applied, let it dry and wait approximately a half hour before you should expect to experience the effects.

Studies also suggest that magnesium therapy may be beneficial to the millions of Americans that struggle with sleep disorders. Specifically magnesium supplementation may help by reducing sleep onset latency; that is, it can help users fall asleep faster.

As for the time of day, magnesium sprays and other supplements can be taken at any time - though if you are taking it for sleep, apply it at least one half hour before you intend to go to sleep.

Magnesium Spray for Deodorant

Another interesting use of magnesium spray is as deodorant, and there are some who use it for that very purpose. Even some of our customers (see the reviews on our magnesium spray) use magnesium spray for deodorant, claiming they no longer have to use another form of deodorant.

There are two main ways in which magnesium may prove effective in this capacity: its antimicrobial effects, which are somewhat well-attested, and in its potential ability to help control perspiration.

Transdermal magnesium - taken through the skin - is possibly effective at helping control overactive sweat glands, although in truth, more studies on this matter are warranted before concrete claims can be drawn.

The antimicrobial properties of magnesium, however, are far less nebulous, and a whole lot less speculative.

Notably, magnesium is so potent in its antimicrobial properties so as to inhibit not only bacterial growth, but also the formation of biofilm, which microbes produce as a shield against common methods of deterrence. Perhaps this property more than any other makes magnesium spray as deodorant a viable option. After all, it is the activity of the body’s microbiota that causes body odor in the first place.

Other Potential Benefits of Magnesium Spray

While these are among the best benefits of a magnesium spray, there are innumerable others. In addition to playing a role in mitigating pain, reducing sleep onset, and controlling body odor, a magnesium supplement, either topical or oral magnesium, can have a whole host of other potential benefits. Among these are:

  • Strengthening the bones and joints.
  • Strengthening the body’s blood vessels.
  • Improving healing, specifically promoting skin hydration and enhancing cell turnover.
  • Supporting healthy neurotransmitter function.
  • Regulating healthy blood glucose levels as well as blood pressure.
  • Supporting healthy DNA and RNA expression.
  • Improving recovery after intense periods of exertion.
  • Serving a role as a potent anti-inflammatory agent.

And, on top of these and many other potential benefits, it may even be the case that optimal magnesium intake may even help uplift the mood and enhance feelings of wellness.

They’re all good reasons to try a topical magnesium supplement, if you ask us. Take a look through what our customers have to say in the reviews of our magnesium chloride supplements and if you have any questions get in touch with us at Hello@RawRevelations.com.
